ParticleFaze simulates the behavior of weakly interacting atomic particles in the gas phase

ParticleFaze

by Jason Deckman

What is it about?

ParticleFaze simulates the behavior of weakly interacting atomic particles in the gas phase. The particles undergo real molecular dynamics according to Newton's equations of motion and interact via the Lennard-Jones energy of attraction, from which all particle forces are derived. The user can adjust the range and strength of attraction, along with the temperature, through the interface to affect the dynamics and behavior of the particles, and to ultimately learn how particles interact in the gas phase. The user can also change the velocity and direction of particles through touching and dragging on the screen
