WARNING: This is early version of our app looks rough but it functions. Try it. We’d love to hear your feedback.


• This is a new way of choosing a home you can afford. We buy it together. You pay rent. We get a place to live for as long as you want and a guaranteed pathway to full ownership.


• The maximum pathway is forty years, so you’ll own at least a quarter of the value of the property ten years into your pathway. In the meantime, you can paint the walls, plant the garden or remodel the kitchen and improve the value of your home.


• Try plugging in your postcode, your current rent and the deposit you can afford. Then, we’ll show you option within your budget. Check out the properties on-line. Go visit them. Then ask your bank if they can help you finance a better home.


• Can I afford that three-bed around the corner or that four-bed with the nice garden if I can pay a few quid more each month? If I borrow from my Dad, would that get me closer to a better school? Will I own a place outright by the time I turn fifty? If I share a place with my mates can we move to a better neighbourhood?


• We’re not a bank so there’s no debt, no risk of negative equity, no stamp duty, no survey cost, no lawyer’s fee, in fact, no hidden fees and no reason not to try it. All we ask is that you pay the rent – which will be indexed to inflation – like many other rental agreements.


• What is this pathway again? If you choose a 25-year pathway, we’ll give you one Pathway Coupon a day. Nine thousand days later, you give us back the Coupons and we give you the title deeds. If you sell in year five, you’ll have earned enough Coupons to exchange for 20% of our share of the proceeds of sale (5/25 years = 20%). By year ten, you will have earned 40% of our share.


• If you put in five percent of the purchase price, your share of the sales proceeds starts at five, on day one, and rises to a hundred as your pathway progresses. Our share starts at ninety-five and gradually declines to zero.


• Plug in a higher deposit and we’ll show you a wider range of options. Or, if you’ve made your choice already, the pathway for that property will shorten from, for example, thirty years to twenty-eight years. Alternately, if you are happy with a thirty-year pathway, you can lower your monthly contributions. Wouldn’t it be great if someone designed an app to help with these important trade-offs?


• We’re in a early phase now but soon we will go house hunting with you so we can make a joint decision to take the plunge.
