The Polara PedApp is for all pedestrians to wirelessly push/actuate/place a pedestrian call/walk request. Compatible with Polara iNS Accessible Pedestrian Signals (APS). Enhanced features for visually impaired pedestrians include identification and location of APS. When activated App will alert pedestrian of nearby APS crossing and allow user to choose desired crossing. Corresponding APS's locate tone will increase in volume and APS will receive a push/actuation signal from the App to place a pedestrian call/walk request. The App can provide audible indications for Walk, Don't Walk, Pedestrian Clearance (including audible countdown if desired) phases.
