Social problems are a primary symptom of autism spectrum disorders and social communication disorders (i.e. ADHD, language and learning difficulties, speech and motor impairments, depression, anxiety). The PEERS assessment will lead to more accurate diagnosis of autism spectrum disorders and social communication disorders and inform early intervention measures and targeted treatment for those disorders.
