The idea came up as the developer wanted a loving way to help teach her in-door cat to stay safe. Aside from the high price tag, other options such as shock collars were a no-go as the heavy collar needs to be on strapped on so tight for the metal prongs to fully penetrate the fur. Pets are smart—shock mats by the door, or on the couch, are easily side-stepped and jumped over.
