Effect #1
After the deck is shuffled, the spectator is asked to cut the deck and complete the cut. You tell
him to imagine that he is seated at a poker table.
- How many players do you see a the table ? (The number must be comprised between 2 and 9)
- 5 players.
So you tell him to deal 5 poker hands. Then, you take your smartphone and look for a
screenshot (in the photo gallery) of a tournament you played three days ago. The screenshot
shows a table of 5 players who all went all-in on a given hand. All the cards dealt by the
spectator match the 15 cards that are displayed on the screenshot (hole cards + flop, turn and
river).
Effect #2
After the deck is shuffled, the spectator is asked to cut the deck and complete the cut. You tell
him to imagine that he is seated at a poker table, against one single opponent (heads-up) at the
final table of an online tournament. You also ask him to imagine the amount of the prize
awarded to the winner (for example : €8,560). The spectator is then requested to deal two
hands of poker as well as the full board (flop, turn and river). The 9 face-up cards on the table
match those displayed on a screenshot (in the poker file of your photo gallery) of a tournament
you played. Wait, there is more... The next screenshot shows that YOU are the happy winner,
with a prize that matches the amount thought by your spectator (in our example, €8,560).
