POLYCAT is a Synthpop band from Bangkok, Thailand. The band consists of 3 members Ratana Janprasit (Na), Pure Watanabe and Palagorn Gunjina (Tong). Polycat has released 2 splendid albums. The first album called “05:57” in year 2012 and the second one called “80 Kisses” released last year. The ”80 Kisses” got a wonderful success in Thailand. The band is now very popular and well known.

The characteristic of Polycat’s music is romantic, beautiful and sweet. Their music is full of drum machine and vintage synthesizer combining with beautiful chorus lines that can easily raise your childhood memories. The unique 80’s sound is their signature which can easily catch every attention. That is because of it is not the same as the original sound of the 80’s but they mix and blend the sound of Jazz music and Japanese CityPop music together into their songs as well. Moreover, the main point of the band success is the detail of the vocal. The band puts all their creativities and emotions in every syllable. These kinds of attempt are worth it. Since it is appeared to be they are a trend setter in Thai indie music scene nowadays.

“Doyobi no terebi” is the new debut album from Polycat. In Thailand Japanese Cartoons are showing on TV every Saturday morning that is where the name of the album came from. This album is happened because of the band loves the Japanese cartoons and also they love the Japanese CityPop music style. Then, they mixed what they like to fulfill their dreams and also to explore their career to another level by produced the songs in Japanese. This album is not only released in Physical and Digital format but also it will be released in the format of Application too. The Application will be available in November on App Store worldwide. This Application contains 4 Japanese Lyrics songs plus 3 Thai songs (extended version) from Polycat’s latest album “80 Kisses”.
