Position Health uses geolocation on a user’s phone to detect when she enters an emergency department in real-time, anywhere in the United States. The detection leads to an alert being sent to care team members.
Care team members sign up to be a part of the Position Health network. Once they do, they can enroll their patients into the app.
Position Health uses a unique database of geofences around every hospital in the United States so that, regardless of where the user is, an alert can be sent.
The goal of the app is to increase the continuity and connectivity of healthcare, such that healthcare providers who desire more touchpoints with patients at important moments in their healthcare will have that opportunity. Users get better connectivity with their healthcare providers who know them best at moments that matter.
