Praying with prayer ropes is one of the oldest ways of saying prayers, and is still used today by both monks and laymen in the Eastern Orthodox Church. This practice inspired us to create Prayer Rope for iOS.
The app's interface is designed to be as unobtrusive as possible while still being functional. To count the prayers as they are said, simply swipe a finger across the screen or tap the beads. Both visual and tactile feedback are provided. The app will highlight the next "bead", show the current prayer count, and optionally, vibrate the device.
