App Store Description

PrinterMonitor is an SNMP client to monitor network printer status and consumables. The printer must support SNMP v1 or v2c (v3 is not yet supported), and have SNMP enabled for this app to discover and monitor the device.

PrinterMonitor can search your local subnet and discover all SNMP-capable devices, select which devices you want to monitor, and you're all set. Or manually enter the printer IP address or printer name. You can also manage multiple lists of devices, for example separate lists for each location.

PrinterMonitor can detect if a printer is online, display alerts for the device, its identity, location and uptime, and depending on the printer's capabilities, report status of consumables (paper, toner/ink, imaging drum life, etc.).

The app can also discover other SNMP-enabled devices (servers, network attached storage, switches), and display basic information -- identity, uptime and network interface status.

The level and quality of SNMP support for printers varies widely by manufacturer and model. If you're unsure of your printer's level of support, download the app and give it a try.
