Patient reported outcome measures (PROMs) are commonly used to check how patients are feeling before and after surgery. In the ENT specialty several well known PROMs are most often used, with more being developed all the time. the PROMinENT App is the best tool for doctors and patients to use together to help guide clinical decision making.
Current PROMs on the app include:
1) Rhinosinusitis Disability Index (RDSI)
2) Epworth Sleepiness Scale (ESS)
3) Eustachian Tube Dysfunction Questionnaire (ETDQ-7)
4) Nasal Obstruction Symptom Evaluation (NOSE)
When using this app patients are linked directly to only their surgeon and can take the surveys as often as they want. Data collected on the back end is displayed in a tables and graphics to track outcomes over time. Data can also be easily downloaded for research purposes. All data is privacy protected.
