Now if a break and enter occurs the property owner can immediately flag their items as conflicted on Property Guardian getting the information out there as soon as possible. The items that have been flagged are the only items that become view able to the public. So if a person is thinking of buying an item on a buy and sell site they can first check the serial number on the item to see if the item is marked as clear or conflicted. If it is marked as conflicted they know they shouldn't purchase this item. Pawn shop owners can also check the website or app before taking the property in as inventory. Doing this will slow down the movement of the property by the offenders. The longer they have the stolen property in their possession the more likely they are to be caught with the property and they will see more criminal charges.

The app also makes it easier to share the list of stolen property with law enforcement and with insurance companies. With open communication, Insurance companies can complete payout to their clients but then they become the property owner. So once the property is recovered the insurance company will have the items returned to them so they do not lose money to clients who then recover their property.
