Fisheries Queensland’s commercial fishing app – Qld eFisher – modernises and streamlines the way that commercial fishers in Queensland can meet reporting requirements and implement business processes.

Qld eFisher can be used by Queensland commercial fisher licence holders who have an active association with a primary commercial fishing licence to:
• view authorities
⁃ commercial fisher licence
- primary commercial fisher licence with associated fishery symbols
• view quota balances
⁃ available quota
⁃ total quota reported for the season
• submit pre-trip notices
• record catch and effort
• submit quota notices (including prior notice, emergency notice, weight notice and retained fish notice)
• submit amending notices (change the nominated landing place during a commercial operation)
• create and send catch disposal records
• check the status of vessel tracking devices and manually report (primary vessel only)
• report interactions with threatened, endangered and protected animals.
Currently, Qld eFisher can only be used for the following Queensland commercial fisheries:
• crab
• east coast net
• east coast line (except filleting and L8 multiple hook operations)
• tropical rock lobster

Note: Operations that tranship fish can’t use the app.

Future releases of Qld eFisher are expected to expand the number of fisheries and scope of reporting.
