One exhausted family who spent thousands of dollars flying across the country visiting colleges with their high school student. After waiting for 1.5 years (yup, some bookings are done 1.5 years in advance), they were herded en masse across various campuses in generic guided tours. ​

For the high school student, he learned little about the colleges (hard to hear over all the people on the tour), couldn’t ask specifc questions about life on campus (again, too many people), or questions about the major he wanted to study (colleges don’t offer subject-specific tours).​

For the parents, with all the money and vacation days spent, they had on their hands a tired high school student and a really bored younger sibling!​

There has to be an easier and more affordable approach to college visits! An idea was born.​
