What is it about?

RawFlow is a simple to use fluid mechanics app for quickly solving process flow related problems involving incompressible fluids. It is useful for calculating the pump size or flow rate of a system of piping and fittings with elevation and pressure changes; calculating the NPSHa for a pump; calculating pressure drop or flow rate through a packed bed; sizing control valves; calculating flow rate through orifice and Venturi meters; and calculating leak rate through a hole in a tank or piping.

App Store Description

RawFlow is a simple to use fluid mechanics app for quickly solving process flow related problems involving incompressible fluids. It is useful for calculating the pump size or flow rate of a system of piping and fittings with elevation and pressure changes; calculating the NPSHa for a pump; calculating pressure drop or flow rate through a packed bed; sizing control valves; calculating flow rate through orifice and Venturi meters; and calculating leak rate through a hole in a tank or piping.

Notes:
- Various fluids provided with temperature dependent property correlations, or fluid properties can be manually specified for use in each calculation
- Common pipe materials, with pipe roughness values, available for selection
- Common pipe fittings available for selection, with built in K factor correlations
- Use of the Hagen-Poiseuille (laminar flow) and the Colebrook-White (turbulent flow) equations for friction factors
