App Store Description

The Recurrent Gynecologic Cancer Treatment app synthesizes all randomized clinical trial data from the MedStar Health Gynecologic Oncology Group and other randomized control trials for recurrent gynecologic cancers. The ability to access relevant clinical trial data makes the that process of developing patient-specific regimens more efficient, accurate, and evidence-based.

Studies are grouped by site of origin and contain the study date, source, author, power, and outcome measure (typically response rate, sometimes progression-free survival).

There are 20,000 new cases of ovarian cancer a year, of which more than 60% will eventually recur. There is no treatment algorithm for recurrent gynecologic cancers. In fact, no one protocol exists – and oncologists are left to draw upon their knowledge of current literature to create treatment plans patients. This tool allows physicians to better serve their recurrent cancer patients with the help of an accurate and easy-to-access mobile application.
