Release Date Calculator™ (RDC) is designed to assist Lawyers, and others within the Canadian Criminal Justice system, to calculate with ease, the dates related to provincial sentences (2 years less a day). This app considers pre-trial custody time (both 1:1 and time-and-a-half credit time), length of the sentence pronounced, and provincial corrections credit time (i.e. 2/3’s additional credit). A practicing lawyer can determine the actual day of custodial release on the fly. It's perfect when considering real world situations to craft or negotiate a jail sentence.
