New York City is a loud city. 9 out of 10 adult citizens in NYC are exposed to excessive noise levels which is detrimental to mental and physical health. Through RightAvenues, users can report and spot the noise as easily as possible. Moreover, users can track their noise complaint reports on RightAvenues.

My Submission
Users can track their 311 noise complaint submissions on RightAvenues. Currently, helicopter noise, loud party/music noise and construction noise are available on RightAvenues.
Report Noise (blue icon)
Filing 311 noise complaints can be done seamlessly through RightAvenues. To report the Helicopter noise, simply select the real-time helicopter on the map. Helicopters flying below 2000ft (altitude) are visible on the map. To report construction noise, just select the construction hotspot on the map. Users also have the option to report the noise by tapping the “report noise” icon.
Noise Complaints (pink dots)
RightAvenues uses NYC 311 data to visualize noise complaints of each neighborhood. The bigger the dot, the more noise complaints from the same location.
Noise Hotspots (construction icon)
Hotspots are places with loud sounds such as construction, fireworks, helicopter paths, and so on. When tapped, the list of construction projects shows up.
Google Street View for each construction hotspot
Users are able to check the streetscape of each construction site on Google Streetview within the app by tapping each construction hotspot.
Construction Permit Information
A list of permit information for each construction hotspot is added
Real-time noise alert (noise alert on the top)
The app provides the number of noise complaints of each Neighborhood Tabulation Areas (NTAs) for the past 72 hours
Date ranges (calendar icon)
Users can select the date ranges to learn about NYC noise trends from 1 month ago through 1 year ago
Statistics (statistics icon)
Users can learn about how the neighborhood noise level increased or decreased compared to a past date.
Day/Night Noise (moon/sun icon)
Users can tap the sun/moon icon to see the daytime (6 am - 9 pm) noise trend and nighttime (9 pm - 6 am) noise trend exclusively.
