RoadRamble

RoadRamble offers road travel itineraries including information on sights, attractions, stays and experiences. You select one of 3 trip planning options and answer 2-4 questions,
choosing from a set of available options.

The app searches a bespoke database for information that matches the answers to those questions, bringing back tailored road trips, including route information, sightseeing, retail highlights, accommodation and even playlist suggestions.

You can choose the trip length, trip type and accommodation type or simply search by point of interest. For the simplest search, you can also choose a surprise trip, just tell us how many days you have and town you’re leaving from. The itinerary provided includes points of interest and options for food and local business to support.

Itineraries are characterised by local experience and knowledge; support for local businesses and regional areas; encouraging travel to areas in need; include unique and little-known points of interest; suit recreational and personal preferences; are useable and aspirational.

Rather than being a list of reviews, providing only directions/navigation or catering only to commercial interests, the focus is on supporting small operators, local businesses and accompanied by information on unique or less commercial sightseeing and points of interest. Emphasis is on breadth of trip types, local knowledge focus and the experiences created.

The design of trip types enables flexibility to include current or regional priorities and areas of interest alongside those trip types that would usually be included, for example supporting drought affected, fire affected, country shows etc. alongside food and wine, natural history, history etc. The inclusion of recommended playlists creates even more fun!
