The town is located in “Green Country” and sits in the foothills of the Ozark Mountains that offer beautiful scenery, hiking, camping, fishing, and scenic rivers and streams. Roland Lake, built in 2000, supplies the communities water needs along with fishing and family picnic sites. Lake Tenkiller is only minutes from Roland and boasts almost 13,000 acres of water and over 130 miles of shoreline of and the scenic Illinois River's 70 miles of floating and 8 miles of trout fishing provide additional recreational opportunities.
The mission of the Roland Area Chamber of Commerce is to improve and promote the quality of life, the economy, and the image of the Roland Community. Working in conjunction with the Town of Roland, the Strategic Planning Program, Roland Public Schools and the Economic Development Committee the Chamber is continuing efforts to accomplish this mission.

The forward thinking of our community leaders has insured that Roland will be able to meet our utility needs well into the 21 century.
