RYFFC is a safe and comfortable place where people can freely post on whatever they want without fear of public prosecution. RYFFC aims to redefine the stigma that Freedom of Expression and Safe Space can’t coexist. RYFFC will show you that they can and do through democratizing the consumption and engagement of news and information while creating a safe and engaging social experience. There are two main features on the platform: Links and Citizen Reporter.
o Links roots run deep within RYFFC being the original feature of the platform. As you scroll through the web and come across articles, content, or information that you find interesting, you can take that URL and Ryff on it in the app. Being able to share URLs means users can Ryff of anything from traditional articles, video links, and social media posts. If it has a link, you can Ryff it!
o Citizen Reporter is for you and by you. Users use this feature to cultivate tailored and personal content for the community. Citizen Reporter allows users to report on information from their own perspective thus encouraging community discourse and conversation. Users can upload photos and short videos within their reports too!

Ryff is the biggest part of RYFFC. The Ryff is a short “hot take” or summation that heads your posts on RYFFC, whether that be through our Links feature or Citizen Reporter Feature. By design, the Ryff is limited to 88 characters.
• RYFFC is a great place for people to go to be exposed to all kinds of thoughts, articles, opinions, and information. There is no censorship on our app, but that doesn’t mean you will have a triggering experience while on it. We have a unique ANTI-BULLYING system in place with a comprehensive SELF-MODERATION system for users to avoid posts that they aren’t ready to see yet.

Ryff Back, We are all about taking turns here at RYFFC, and we especially do this through our unique call and response comment section. As you scroll through the platform and start interacting with fellow Ryffers posts, you might come across one that you want to respond to, and you’ll do that by engaging with that Ryffer through the Ryff Back. Ryff Backs are also limited to 88 characters. And be smart with your words because you can only Ryff once until the original Ryffer responds, and vice versa. This feature also applies in our chat feature ensuring that there is no spamming from either party.

Self-Moderation, RYFFC’s unique self-moderation system allows users to take their social media experience into their own hands by getting to select which level of controversial or triggering content that they want to see at any given time. We have three levels for posts to fall into: G, M, and BE.
G is for “General” audience moderation level. This is for users who want to view only mild or non-controversial content.
M is for “Moderate” audience moderation level. This is for users who want to view mild to moderately controversial content.
BE is for “Bleeding Edge” audience moderation level. This is for users who want to view all available content, including highly controversial content.

Voting, paired with self-moderation, a user gets to vote on what level of moderation their fellow Ryffers posts will get. So, it’s up to you and the community to vote on and place posts faithfully and honestly.

Superboost, the Superboost is a fun and exciting way to make you LIKE worth more. If you come across a post that you really like, you can give it an extra boost of 5 points by pressing the Superboost rocket!
