Safe Place - Pearl Safe Haven

The Safe Place mobile application is a holistic app that has curated information, and allows for discreet dialogues and communication to the various gender specific stakeholders in the battle against gender based violence. It would provide women and girls with resources to educate them about domestic violence, how to identify the signs of abuse and guidance on how to leave an abusive relationship/environment .
The application will also enable the women to send an alert to the hotline when abuse is threatened or being suffered. This will enable the hotline team to coordinate effectively with the police and other organisations as necessary. The ability to obtain data will also enable the Project team to map out incidences of violence and provide data for analysis to draw up preventative measures and prepare strategic community outreach programmes. By taking advantage of technology, the Project team will build a forum that will enable women and girls to engage with our staff and counsellors and ask for assistance in a secure manner thereby empowering them to break the culture of silence.
