Samadhaan

Samadhan is an app that aims to resolve communal problems such as constructional hazards, unwarranted garbage, and pollution in public spaces.

We use google sign-in services for user authentication, which is one of the various measures adopted by our app to ensure the integrity of complaints.

After logging in, the user is directed to the home screen where the user can choose to either file a complaint or view already lodged complaints.

Let’s take a look at the complaint filing procedure. The user must capture a real-time image or video as a means to prove the legitimacy of the problem. He/She will also need to provide a subject and description of the issue. If these criteria are not met, the user will not be able to successfully file the complaint. The user can upload this issue to various social media platforms such as Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, etc to gain support.

In order to view already filed complaints, he/she can navigate to the issues tab, wherein previews of all issues can be viewed on the user’s screen in a tabular format. Tap to gain more information on a particular issue the user can simply tap on the issue’s preview. Here he or she will find the full description of the issue along with the geolocation of where it exists.

If the issue concerns them they can upvote it in order to garner support from society. After the issue passes a certain threshold it is sent to the concerned authorities so that appropriate action can be taken to resolve it.

We have added a “near me” feature that takes the user’s current geolocation and finds relevant issues that exist in the user’s proximity.
