ScanX

ScanX is an attendance and tracking solution for health, security and services personnel. The app complements a cloud dashboard and serves as a scanner for a wide variety of data capture applications. Version 1.0 allows staff to assign either a QR code or NFC tag to any location. Users (those using the app) scan either the QR or NFC tag and 3 metrics are captured: WHO (user's name/ID), WHERE (location) and WHEN (timestamp). The enterprise-grade system is designed to be simple, functional and offers a low-cost alternative to existing attendance logging solutions.


The app only works with Scanx's proprietary hardware which interfaces with a cloud dashboard. The ScanxQR is a wall-mounted lithium-ion battery-powered device with an e-ink display: a QR code refreshes every X minutes (user-defined) and is designed to simply 'install and forget' with a service life of approx 4 years. The ScanxNFC tag is housed in an IP68 anti-vandal enclosure and can be used both indoors and outdoors.
