Low Ejection Fractions (EF≤35%), Age ≥65 years, Killip Class 2 or 3 and renal insufficiency are among the risk factors that can lead to some patients being at increased risk of sudden cardiac death following revascularization. It is therefore very important to routinely screen post-PCI patients for SCD risk so that the appropriate care plan can be developed.

This SCD Post-PCI Risk Calculator is an interactive tool intended to allow physicians and other health care providers to assess if a patient is at risk of sudden cardiac death and identify the patient’s risk level. The application is based on the 10 most clinically relevant SCD mortality risk factors, as identified and supported by numerous peer-reviewed articles and studies.

Use of the risk calculator is straightforward. For each risk factor highlighted, simply select the response that best describes the patient. Then, press the ‘Calculate Risk Now’ button for an assessment of the patient’s SCD risk.
