Scenic Valley Farm

Scenic Valley Farms is a family run, organically certified farm that specializes in producing high quality, nutritious field grown fruits and vegetables and hemp for CBD in high tunnels greenhouses. On our 27 acre farm in the Driftless Region of southwest Wisconsin, we currently have fifteen high tunnels that produce a mix of hemp varieties, raspberries, blackberries, strawberries, melons, tomatoes, peppers, cucumbers, garlic, and basil, many heirloom varieties. In order to boost organic matter and promote healthy soils we apply organic compost and rock powders to the fields underneath our high tunnels. We also use innovative solar thermal heating methods that warm the soil and air while reducing on farm greenhouse gas emissions. We have developed a vermicompost system for the farmer that will produce an abundant supply of worm compost. Worm compost is the best natural organic compost that is sustainable using discarded food waste from consumers and businesses. All of our produce including hemp is certified organic by Quality Certification Services.

Since 2009 SVF has managed crop production in high tunnels on 28 acres in Wisconsin and 6 acres in Minnesota.
SVF designs, develops and sells high tunnel EMS climate control systems and solar thermal heating.
SVF is developing a soil base vertical-stack pot-growing system for strawberries.
SVF has crop production in 15 high tunnels located in Minnesota and Wisconsin.
SVF’s produce — vegetables, fruits, and hemp products — is USDA certified organic.
SVF has decades of agricultural and engineering experience.
SVF has been awarded numerous grants including Phase 1 and 2 SBIRs, VAPG, SARE, and Minnesota and Wisconsin state grants
SVF has enlisted University of Minnesota horticulturalist Mary Rogers as producer, technical advisor and active researcher. Ms. Rogers operates from a building at University of Minnesota Outreach, Research and Education (UMore) in Rosemount.

East and West, our farms are our sandbox – and an ever-expanding sandbox at that. Not only do our farms continue to produce excellent produce and CBD-related products, but each also serves as a full-time laboratory for achieving even greater excellence. We are constantly developing new methods to boost yields, extend the growing season and improve taste, freshness and physical appearance for all our products. We also keep our research well-grounded in improved soil-management practices, seeking to improve the soil we play in with better and more effective nutrient-enrichment and irrigation systems even as we strive to reduce the negative effects of pests, diseases, and soil erosion.
