School Routes

SchoolRoutes.org provides access to Suggested Route to School programs for government agencies. The mobile app and supporting cloud platform allow agencies to provide access to the following tools for students and residents:

- Walk n Roll Maps
Suggested walking and biking routes are highlighted over a Google Maps interface along with key infrastructure elements such as Crossing Guards, Traffic Signals, STOP controls, Enhanced and regular crosswalks. On the mobile app, the user's position is shown in relation to the route to help guide users.

- School Depot Stations
Parents may use the app to identify suggested "meet up" locations in their neighborhoods to establish Walking School Bus and Bike Train Programs for elementary school students. Jr. High and High School students can create their own School Depot Stations to establish similar programs with fellow students.

- One Way Notification Messaging
App users will receive important Safe Routes to School program and community event information from local agency officials and school administrators.

- Incentive Rewards Programs
Jr. High and High School student users that elect to share their data with SchoolRoutes.org will allow the program to notify local government agency and school administrators regarding walking and biking activity so that students can receive "incentive rewards" to help encourage continued walking and biking activity.

Additional programs will be introduced as more government agencies participate in the SchoolRoutes.org program.
