• Start Date: May 02, 2011
• End Date: October 17, 2013
• Time elapsed: 2 years, 5 months and 16 days.

Also, for that period will be displayed:

• Equivalence in months: 29.51612903

For calculating the equivalent years and months, the system initiates configured with the exact, however, it gives the user freedom to set the calculations for the different cases presented in everyday life as described below:

The system will calculate the equivalent time in years based on the settings that the user chooses.

Calculation of the years:
• Exact: The system will calculate the exact years, plus the result of dividing fractions of days between the total days of the year. For example: the years from March 15, 2009 to February 16, 2013 will be: 3 +292 (days elapsed) / 366 (total days in 2012) +47 (days elapsed) / 365 (total days of 2013) = 3 +0.797814 +0.128767 = 3.9265813
• Base 365.25: The system calculates the number of days elapsed and divided by 365.25. For example: the years from March 15, 2009 to February16, 2013 are: 1435 / 365.25 = 3.9288159
• Base 365: The system calculates the total number of days and divide by 365.25. For example: the years from March15, 2009 to February 16, 2013 will be: 1435/365 = 3.93150685

Calculating months:
• Exact: The system calculates the exact months, plus the result of dividing fractions of days between the total number of days of the month. For example: the months from March 15, 2009 to March 16, 2013 are: 2 (years) x 12 + 11 (months) + 2 (days elapsed) / 29 (total days of February 2012) = 36.06451613
• Base 30.42: The system calculates the number of days elapsed and split between 30.42. For example: the months from March 15, 2009 to March 16, 2013 are: 1098 / 40.42 = 36.09467456
• Base 30.4: The system calculates the number of days elapsed and split between 30.4. For example: the months from March 15, 2009 to March 16, 2013 are: 1098 / 30.4 = 36.11842105
• Base 30: The system calculates the total number of days elapsed and divided by 30.4. For example: the months from March 15, 2009 to March 16, 2013 are: 1098/30 = 36.60000000
