Gender Equality in the Tourism Sector Project is implemented with the financial assistance of the European Union and the Republic of Turkey. The project is supported by the Instrument for Pre-Accession Assistance (IPA) between Turkey and the European Union under the "Employment, Education and Social Policies Operational Program". The project contract number is "TREESP1.3.FoW/P-03/180". The project is led by Kaçed Association in partnership with TURSAB (Turkey), Gender Studies, o.p.s. (Czech Republic) and Associazione Italiana Turismo Responsabile-AITR (Italy). The project duration is 12 months.
The overall objective of the project is "Development of entrepreneurship, employment and employability with a focus on gender equality". The specific objectives of the project are: "(1) Developing digital tourism applications for tourism businesses; (2) Revealing the tourism resource value of the Kackar Mountains National Park and Fırtına Valley; (3) Establishing a tourism dialogue mechanism between Italian, Czech and Turkish tourism interest groups; (4) Increasing the digital tourism skills of those working in the tourism sector; (5) Ensuring that women, youth and visually and hearing impaired unemployed people have a profession by providing tourism vocational trainings; (6) Increasing gender equality awareness in the public".
