Welcome to the independent Shambala Festival app!

Shambala has been a legendary party for over two decades. One of the last remaining truly independent festivals in the UK, the variety and quality of entertainment on offer is staggering for a festival of its size, with hundreds of diverse musical acts, world-class cabaret, an amazing array of workshops, comedy, inspirational talks, art installations, jaw dropping circus and nationally acclaimed poetry. Shambala is also a pioneering green event; we are meat and fish free, single use plastic free, 100% renewably powered and have reduced our carbon footprint by over 90% in the past decade.

During the festival, the app is designed to help you explore all the amazing things that are going on, find your way around site and create your own schedule of things you really want to catch. Notifications will remind you of events you have favourited, 15 minutes before they start so you don't miss anything. It gives you access to the festivals line-up and heaps of information about the delicious food and drink on offer, as well emergency contact details and other key information. The app can also be updated in real time, meaning we can notify you about any last minute changes to the programme or timings. You can also contact us directly through the app to give us feedback about the event and notify us of anything you think we need to know about.

Year round, the app brings you positive news, sweet sounds and exclusive mixes, excellent distractions, brain food and all the silliness you’ve come to expect from our annual adventures in utopia. The app also hosts a calendar of amazing community events taking place outside of Shambala - which you're all invited to add to! There’s also a beautiful ‘People’s Gallery’ where you’re all invited to share your artistic creations, thoughts, musings and photography.

This is no ordinary festival app - it's bespoke, built by us and puts your data privacy and anonymity to the fore. You are not required to register with personal details, nor link to your social accounts. To get the most out of the app you will need to accept location services and notifications, but we are not retrieving or collecting any identification information. For us it is the beginning of a wider enquiry into the digital landscape we live in at Shambala and beyond. Enjoy your adventures in utopia…
