App Store Description

Enjoy a steady flow of great instrumental folk and country music on Share Music, the music streaming channel of Share Radio.

With tracks from many different countries recorded over the past 50 years, this is great music to accompany you when working, relaxing or travelling: not least because there’s no vocals to break your stream of thought!

Also, because it just offers the international language of music without words, you’ll feel at home with Share Music wherever you live, across the world.

The app shows the tracks you’re listening to and provides the opportunity to purchase them through iTunes where they’re available. It also gives you access to @sharemusicuk Twitter feed for adding your comments, and links to Share Radio’s news bulletins ensure you can keep in touch with everyday life.

Share Radio, which provides Share Music, is based in Westminster, London in the United Kingdom. Its speech broadcast channel is the UK’s national money and business station, ‘sharing ideas about money’, and has its own app, Share Radio: why not download it too? Both Share Music and Share Radio are free of charge.

We’re not aware of any other music streaming app which specialises in instrumental folk music: if you know of one, please tell us! But we hope you really enjoy the quality music we have to offer here, whether Celtic, Spanish, African, Indian, American or English: and of course there are some of the greats in acoustic guitar here, including Leo Kottke, Etta Baker, John Fahey and Doc Watson. Enjoy!
