As social media accounts are private it is hard for parents to detect and assist kids with acts of bullying, when as we know, teenagers can be reclusive, notoriously private and protective of their independence. So many young people deal with the adversity of bullying via social-media platforms all on their own and suffer in silence.

Sherlockt allows parents to monitor their children's social media use from a distance, alerted to any content of an offensive nature that may be present in the public content shared with or by them.

NO SECRETS
Setting up Sherlockt on your phone requires your child’s cooperation - it’s not a secretive tool. In fact, Sherlockt provides an opportunity for open, two-way communication about what is acceptable behaviour online and what constitutes as bullying or harassment.

IN-BUILT DEFENSE
The Sherlockt application has been pre-programmed with trigger words that are considered offensive and could be associated with bullying and harassment.

This list, generated in collaboration with social media platforms and industry experts, is continually updated to ensure maximum protection.

Sherlockt also provides the ability to create your own trigger words that may be localised to your child's school or region.

ALERTS
The parent is alerted via an in-app notification of any post sent to or by the child that contains trigger words.

The entire message with trigger words highlighted is viewed by the parent for context and identity of the sender.

ASSESS & ACT
Once Sherlockt uncovers unwanted activity, the parent decides on the seriousness of the situation and acts accordingly.

What may be considered harmful to one parent may be the complete opposite for another, therefore Sherlockt does not make determinations for the parent or provide specific advice regarding actions.

If at any time it is deemed that a child is in immediate danger, it is advisable to contact the Police or Crimestoppers.

Auto-renewal may be turned off at any time by going to your settings in the iTunes Store after purchase. The current Sherlockt subscription price is $4.99 AUD/month. Time Period for subscription is 1 month. Prices are in Australian dollars, may vary in countries other than Australia, and are subject to change without notice. No cancellation of the current subscription is allowed during the active subscription period.

Functionalities provided by the subscription:
1. User can add upto 5 dependents.
2. User can link every dependent with facebook and twitter.
3. User can add your own words as bad words.
4. User can then get all the feeds and tweets of facebook and twitter accounts of dependents having bad words.
