Shot Log!

Shot Log! keeps track of vital information on film and video productions. It logs scene and take information, notes with timecode markers, uses the built in camera for continuity stills and emails reports for use in post-production. Shot Log! is indispensable for projects including feature film, reality TV, corporate video, web series and more.

Shot Log! records numerous pieces of information for each scene and take. Fields include scene number and letter, take number, location, description, type of shot, circled take and more. The app makes logging quick and easy, with all primary information conveniently located on one screen. All fields are optional so you can choose to keep a very detailed log or just track a few key items. You can quickly browse all previous shots in the project, so everything from the entire production is right at your fingertips.

Shot Log! creates its own internal timecode which can run at all standard frame rates. You can set timecode based on time of day or manually to match a camera, sound recorder or slate. You can record the starting and ending timecode of each take and can place markers in the take's notes, allowing your editor to identify key points in your footage.

Shot Log! uses your device's built in camera to take still photos to check for continuity, camera position, wardrobe, talent identification and more. Photos are arranged and labeled by the scene they correspond to.

Finally, Shot Log! exports a report as an email attachment. You can choose to send a daily report or one for your entire project. Reports are in .csv format which can be opened in any spreadsheet, text editor, or even viewed in a web browser. The exported logs contain all the scenes and takes giving your editor all the information to begin cutting the project.
