Signet App

The Signet App is a security application for rapid and inexpensive deployment of confidential and secured communications. User can deploy the app on common Commercial Off-The-Shelf (COTS) mobile devices. The Signet App can be used for securing content with common communication methods, such as instant messaging apps or email, which cannot otherwise be considered secure.

You can exchange a contact in the Signet App over a short range Bluetooth connection when meeting your trusted contact in person. You can then secure any content in your mobile device to your listed contacts, and send the secured content over any other app that can deliver a file to your contact. Signet App itself does not have any means of communicating over the Internet.

SECURITY

Signet App employs the best available security capabilities of your mobile device. The content stored in the Signet Keep is secured by Apple Secure Enclave backed file protection. The encrypted Signet Message file is protected using Secure Enclave backed keys.

The cryptographic keys used in the Signet App are strictly tied to your physical device and secured by the biometric authentication provided by the iOS platform. There is no way to recover any data or keys from a backup to another physical device!

All cryptographic ciphers and functions employed in the Signet App are provided by the iOS internal CryptoKit and CommonCrypto libraries. No custom or 3rd party cryptographic implementations are used in the Signet App.
