Simon Effect

The Simon Effect game may seem simple at first: a colored box appears and you just tap the button that has the same name as the color of the box. But here’s the thing: sometimes the box appears right above the correct button and sometimes it appears above the incorrect button. It doesn’t sound too confusing but surprisingly it is!

In this game you’ll learn about the Simon Effect. It’s similar to the Stroop Effect but with a twist and you’d be surprised how important a role this twist plays in your own life. Whenever you try to operate your phone, your oven or your car you’re working with the Simon Effect: it’s always better if the stimulus and the response are in the same approximate location.
