For Competency-based education and Skill-based training, Teachers or Trainers are required to observe learners perform a task, assess their skill, and evaluate their level of performance in real-time, using a checklist or a rubric, and evaluate learners on a standardized scale.


Since many of these tasks are performed in skill-labs, industrial and clinical settings, having a mobile app to manage this workflow can eliminate the need for carrying papers or laptops in these settings. SkillEval app for Teachers provides


SELECT SKILL: One-tap access to the standardized list of competencies and skills categorized per area of expertise, assessment methods and assessment tools (with pre-authored checklists, procedural steps, performance indicators, and a rubric).


SELECT and EVALUATE LEARNER: One-tap access to quickly search and select a learner(or a small group of learners). Teachers can use checklists and rubric to quickly assess learners while the task is being performed in real-time. As soon as the observation is done the teacher can submit an evaluation of the learner's mastery level. This can be done in a formative or a summative context. Log of evaluations, based on all the attempts made by the learner, are centrally stored on a server. App also provides one-click access to enrolled learners and their competency profile.


TRACK CERTIFICATION: All the skill evaluation data submitted by various teachers using this app, on all the enrolled learners, across all the required competencies, in each area of specialization can be accessed by the Program Administrators (server app) to analyze, visualize, track, report, remediate and finally certify learners on these skills and competencies.



Users of this mobile application are expected to be registered teachers/trainers of an organization that uses the InPods Competency Management System. Users are teachers/trainers who are authorized by the organization to assess and evaluate a particular set of skills/competencies of the assigned learners. Learners are expected to be enrolled by their organization.
