SLIC Movement

We are the first and most comprehensive on-demand peer learning app to connect you with people across the globe to learn from. You will no longer need to always pay tutors to get help for a maths homework or learning a new language when a peer is there to tutor you for free! To sign up, you will need to add strengths or skills that you are good at so that other users can reach out to you for help and then you are all ready to start swiping and reaching out to other SLICers for help. At SLIC, we recognise everyone has something valuable that they can teach and share with other and hence, all learners are sharers!
We also don’t discourage you from getting paid for the tutoring sessions you provide. To learn or share something new, we are the one app that you need on your phone with all solutions incorporated.
Oh and we don’t have the traditional categories as maths or science which limit you on what you can teach or learn, instead we give you the freedom to add strengths that you think you are good at and that you think may help others in some way. We leave that your own individual strengths but just to give an idea, a survey we conducted with prospective users identified unique musical instruments, languages or even some agricultural practices that they wanted to share on the platform. On SLIC Movement explore all the random things that you never thought you could take any ones help on and reach out to users from countries you may not have heard of!
If you have read this far and are wondering why we call ourselves a Movement rather than a tutoring app… well, that is because our purpose is to create connections between people across the globe, to break down boundaries and find more common grounds. By joining the movement, you contribute to creating a pluralistic space for people to connect and share. We will cherish every new friend that you make through our app and hope to bring our increasingly polarized world closer with every right swipe you make!


How the app works:


- Swipe right to reach out to people from around the world on a range of topics or go to search function to lookup a specific area you need help in.


- Interact with sharers and book learning sessions. Sharers on our community can both charge for their sessions or offer them for free. When you want to charge for your session, we facilitate the payments and when you offer them for free, we cheer for you!


- Share with others and see the difference you are making. Keep a track of your bookings, payments and the wide range of subjects that you learnt on the platform.
