Slidewise

Slidewise is a cytology training app which will help cytopathologists and cytotechnicians improve their diagnostic skills. It will also be of great use to medical students.

Slidewise helps users learn diagnostics based on fast pattern recognition. It presents regions of interest from gynecologic whole slide images, and the user chooses between a malignant or benign diagnosis by simply swiping on the image. After each swipe, instant feedback is provided, so that the user can quickly improve their visual analysis of cytology tests. In addition to the immediate feedback, the user receives a more detailed report which points out the weak points that they need to work on.

The app is easy to use and fun due to intuitive design and gamification elements.
