What is it about?

Smart Paddock is an Australian-based company which has developed smart ear tags for the livestock industry that provides real-time information about the health and geo-location of all the individual cows in the herd. The device, dubbed the Bluebell, attaches securely onto the ear of each animal, and monitors the animal's temperature, behavior, and geo-location/mobility, which you can easily read from our web dashboard or Companion mobile phone app. The Smart Paddock platform will provide you with real-time alerts when any of these metrics significantly change, indicating an issue in the health of the animal, or if the animal crosses any geo-fences set up by the farmer. These alerts will significantly improve the wellbeing of animals, as early detection is crucial to the recovery from illness or injury. The tracking capability will decrease time for mustering, reduce loss due to stray animals and assist the pedigree and provenance management of the herd.
