Smart Spend is not a traditional budgeting app. Our purpose is to help you save money by teaching you about your spending habits. We don't ask to connect to any of your accounts or automate anything, because learning about your spending requires active participation. We crunch the numbers to help you identify patterns in your spending and places you can save more. We don't tell you how to spend money. Instead, we show you how your spending habits affect your financial health.

After a few days of tracking your spending, you'll be able to start playing Spending Trivia, which is a fun internal trivia game that keeps you educated about your spending. Performing well on Spending Trivia demonstrates that you understand your spending and increases your 'Smart Score', which helps to unlock additional app functionality.

Within a few days of starting Smart Spend, you will notice your spending habits begin to change. You'll start to internalize the costs of your everyday purchases. In a few weeks, you'll be cutting excessive spending and saving more than you ever thought possible!
