When SMS Checker is enabled, junk messages will land on a list called "SMS Junk" on your Messages app, without any audible notification or vibration. You will only the see message count banner on the Messages app.

With the new SMS/call reporting feature on iOS 12 and later, you can report messages directly from the Messages app and block the sender. Also, you can easily block a caller from the Phone app with two taps.
