App Store Description

Snowy Hydro Limited owns and operates the 4100 megawatt Snowy Mountains Scheme, an integrated water and hydro-electric power project located in Australia’s Southern Alps. The Snowy Mountains Scheme diverts water for irrigation west to the Murray and Murrumbidgee river systems and produces clean, renewable, hydroelectricity through a complex integrated infrastructure which includes sixteen major dams, seven major power stations and 220km of interconnected tunnels and aqueducts.

Snowy Hydro provides a range of public information about the Scheme including lake levels, water releases and general tourism information, and feel that making this information available through the SnowyLIVE app will result in even greater communication with those interested in the Scheme.

The mobile app is free on iOS, and includes:
Weekly lake levels for Jindabyne, Eucumbene and Tantangara.
Water releases from Jindabyne Dam, Tantangara Dam and Khancoban Dam.
‘Visit the Snowy Scheme’ information listing our four visitor facilities, their open times and contact details.
Public access information including safety information as well as contact details and location of caravan parks and camping grounds around the foreshores of the Scheme.
A ‘favourites’ feature allowing users to customise the app for their specific needs.
