Sonder by Riptide

Step into a mindful, 360 sound experience which will take you on a walk through Leeds, from the busy city centre to quiet riverside outskirts and back again.

Sonder is a mindful app experience which guides you through a relationship, a city and explores our position to others and our landscape.

SONDER. (noun) /’son.der/: the realisation that each random passerby is living a life as vivid and complex as your own.

This immersive audio experience blends together spoken word poetry, with a rich binaural soundscape and original score, composed by talented local musicians Lara Jones and Mikey Sluman.

Riptide are a site-sympathetic theatre company, who challenge the status quo and create extraordinary experiences. Our audiences enter riptides and are swept through the narratives, spaces and cities in which our performances occur.
These experiences may be as varied as a journey through a large nightclub venue or an intimate performance for one through a city using a digital, GPS app.
