There's no way... everything you study, if it's not systematically reviewed, in two weeks or less you'll remember almost nothing.
It's what scientists call the forgetting curve, caused by our own brain biochemistry, as a defense mechanism... Imagine if we remembered everything that happened to us.

Our brain constantly scans our memories to exclude what is not important, and thus protect us. It happens that what "he" considers important is not always the same as what "we" consider, even more so when it comes to study, after all knowing the names of amino acids was not essential for us to survive in cave times.

A lot has changed since then, but not our brain structure, which is basically the same.

But we have a way of "telling" the brain that a certain subject is important and should be kept in memory: constant and active review.

The review, however, must be spaced, that is, with some interval between one and the other, so that our brain performs all the necessary chemical activities and "marks" certain connections between neurons (which how memory is stored) as important, and therefore should not be undone.

Studying and organizing the reviews, thus, is a big challenge, and most people end up giving up, and returning to the habit of just consuming information that will be forgotten in a short time.
