About Us:

The Society for Paediatric Endocrinology and Diabetes-Pakistan is a non-profit organization. It was formulated in year 2015 to promote enhanced knowledge, research, education and clinical practice in the field of paediatric endocrinology and diabetes, especially in relevance to Pakistan.

- Establish Paediatric endocrinology as a subspecialty of Paediatrics in the country and start training of paediatricians in this field through creating fellowship programs and training opportunities.

- Launch training and education of specialist nurses, diabetes educators, dieticians and other allied healthcare professionals.

- Nurturing improved care of children and adolescents with endocrine disorders and diabetes by bringing together experts in this field from all over Pakistan.

- Developing evidence-bases guidelines applicable according to the resources in country and unifying over all centres thus ensuring a consistent management of endocrine disorders and diabetes mellitus.

- Promoting research in this field of Paediatric Endocrinology through collaborations with other regional and international organizations and societies of Pediatric endocrinology and diabetes.

- Promoting knowledge of paediatric endocrine disorders and diabetes for parents and patients by developing information leaflets and support groups. Also to function as a resource for individuals interested in advocacy for children with endocrine diseases.
