This app is the brain-child of Park Chan Young who has been working on a design which will replace the QWERTY keyboard since 2002.
We all know the QWERTY keyboard is not efficient, and this keyboard is his answer to make your typing experience much better.
The Spacebar the center is the most frequently used key, and the rest are further apart  based on the frequency it is used.  Additionally, the combinations of digraphs are strategically located to make your typing experience a great experience.
While the optimum way to enter the letters is to swipe from one letter to the next.  Until you get the hang go the layout, you can switch from swiping to tapping, and back ,as you get the hang of it.
