With the Stapelstein Creator, we want to make a lasting contribution to promoting media literacy in early childhood education. After all, the foundation for a competent approach to media can already be laid in preschool. Through their own actions, children can experience media for themselves. Active media work stimulates many senses and is successful even if no extensive media equipment is available. With a smartphone or tablet, a free stop motion app, and the Stapelstein construction sheet, children can give free rein to their creativity and, for example, create their own appealing animated films for their play ideas and then save them in the Stapelstein app. In this way, we support the self-determined, reflective and creative use of media.
