Aspiring actors struggle to find the right auditions, at the right time. Directors are overwhelmed with actor profiles, and find it difficult to find the right actors, or choose from a big pile of profiles.

StarNXT aims to make this process easier, for both directors & actors.

Directors can post auditions, of two types - Role-specific auditions & Mass auditions.

In Role-specific auditions, directors can look for actors with specific skill sets and other attributes like prior experience & appearance. All these attributes can be set by the director with a specific role in mind. Only actors that fit the selected attributes can see this audition on their profiles, and those who are interested would apply. The directors can then look through all the applicants, and shortlist those that look most promising for the role. They can then proceed to contact the actors, whose info will be provided in the actor profile screen. Directors need not provide their contact details while posting, but can contact actors from their profiles.

In the other type of auditions that directors can post, they can call for a mass audition. Even here, certain basic attributes can be specified, but directors are expected to provide a contact number & details such as date & venue. Interested actors can then apply for this, and call the concerned person for any questions/clarifications.

Actors can also benefit a lot from StarNXT. Using this app, actors will attend more roles that they’re suited to, and less of those that they aren’t. Only calls/auditions that match the actor’s profile (in terms of experience, appearance etc) will be sent to them. This way, actors can expect to audition for more relevant roles, and save a lot of time.
