STEAMRole

STEAMRole is a role model-based social network where students and aspiring young professionals discover top careers that match that interest and get inspiration and guidance from successful professionals with careers in science, technology, engineering, art/design, and mathematics (aka STEAM Role Models).

Students and aspiring professionals (aka Steamers) swype through the profiles of successful STEAM role models that they can relate to based on similar backgrounds, gender, ethnicity, and interests. Each profile displays the role model's company, job title, description, and industry avg. salary range.

Steamers simply follow any role models that interest them and automatically receive inspirational story clip videos from followed role models in their feed. Additionally, steamers can learn the skills of any role model by following their skills roadmaps. Skills roadmaps are checklists of skills that direct steamers to online resources where they can learn each skill.

As skill roadmaps are completed, companies track and monitor the progress of each steamer and, in some cases, reach out via the STEAM Role app and invite steamers to apply for internships or job openings.
