App Store Description

This app will help you find ferrous metal objects such as studs, screws, and nails hidden in or behind wood, drywall, OSB, plywood, plaster, etc.

As you scan over a surface with your phone, a smart algorithm analyzes the smallest changes in the magnetic field and detects hidden ferrous objects with unprecedented accuracy.

Intuitive visual, audio, and tactile indicators will notify you when a ferrous object is detected. In addition, the app displays the absolute value of the magnetic field in microtesla (µT), the dynamics of change, and the history of measurement for solving more complex problems.

Tips and Tricks
If your device has an external case with metal or magnetic elements, please remove it before using this app.

You can further improve the detection accuracy by first determining the position of the magnetometer sensor inside of your phone. To do this, take a small metal object (for example, a screw) and slowly move along the back surface of your phone, continuously monitoring the absolute value indicator of the magnetic field. The sensor is located at the position with the maximum indicator value. Be careful not to touch and scratch the phone with the screw.
